Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment of Cancer

Surgical Oncology (SO) is the use of surgery to treat cancer. Surgery is done to biopsy and later  remove the tumors. Not all cancers can be treated with surgery. If the cancer is localized, then surgery is more beneficial, In advanced disease, it is used for debulking and sometimes to relieve obstruction.
